- Take photos at your pets eye level, this may mean getting down low.
- Good portrait photos have your pet looking straight towards you or with their head slightly to the side looking past you.
- A focused photo is key so the more detail in the photo the better the portrait will be.
- Good focus on the eyes will help capture your pets personality and help create a better portrait.
- If possible try use a real camera not your phone camera. Photos taken with a camera are often capture more detail.
- Take photos in good lighting, (outside is best). This will allow your camera to pick up more detail.
- Avoid using the flash at it creates unnatural shading.
- Avoid distortion if possible. Sometimes an animals nose can appear very large and out of proportion if the picture is taken too close up.
- When in doubt, take more photos! The more the better
