Testimonials
Maggie did a fabulous job on the picture she drew of our Bernese Mountain Dog, Crosby. She was willing to come to our house to take photos, taking lots of them and then assisting with the selection process to get the best outcome. Maggie also provided regular updates in the progression of her work and I am so pleased with the result.

Thanks Maggie for bringing our dog Jack to life in portraiture, so wonderfully capturing his features and expression. It’s him just as we remember him.
You made it so easy to pick the right style of portrait for his personality and we were amazed how much his character came through in the finished sketch.

About Maggie
My path to Pet Portraits began in the late 70’s on a sea-side promenade in Italy drawing people’s portraits. It was scary at first, then I became so absorbed in my work that eventually I could work without noticing large noisy crowds right up close to me.
My love of drawing led me to illustrating for children’s T.V. on the B.B.C. and Thames T.V. in the U.K. When I moved to Australia I illustrated children’s books, mainly for educational publishers.
My first Pet Portraits were done at Gasworks Park in Melbourne as part of their Dog Day weekends.
I am now based in Ballarat, Victoria working as a Pet Portrait Artist and Educator, drawing on my skills from 5 years at Art School in the U.K. and many years of Arts practise
